Kids

The more the children are able to be creative in the school, the more independant they are gonna be, the more they learn (unconsciously).

Science Projects

During the last weeks we have been working on projects. The projects are an important part of teaching education; these types of activities give our students the opportunity to express their ideas about different topics in a different way.

In this case, our projects are related to the National Parks we have in Spain. The project consists of being able to find the information required that's why I gave them some time to find the information; to sort out the most important and the relevant information; to decide the animals and the plants they want to talk about during their presentations and finally to talk about the environment aspects related to this type of ecosystems.

Once all of them brought the materials, we started working in groups. People think that when kids work in groups they don't work. That's not really true. I can assure you that they work a lot. They would not believe it in the way they organize space, the materials and the arrangement in the poster, it's amazing!! Of course, sometimes they argue because all the members of the group want to highlight that his/her idea is the best, but when that happens you can also see how they solve the problem and at the end all of them agree.

Here I will show you a little bit the mess we had in class during those funny days:)!!

¿¿NO??

THANKSGIVING DAY

Last Thursday 28th of November, it was Thanksgiving Day. We were working with kids talking about this festivity of English speaking countries. It was a different activity for them. With this type of activity, we try to teach them the other countries' cultures.
This activity was done during English class as it is an important part of the subject. We showed them a presentation done by Michelle, our assistant, to keep them involved in the traditional day.

After that, we proposed to make our own turkeys, while they were colouring the tale of the turkeys, Michelle and I were pasting the eyes of the turkeys to the brown roll.

We ended the day colouring some funny turkeys on the board, and kept the ones done by the kids on the top of the board.

It was a lovely day!
